Sakura around the corner are always the best ! Happy Musashi-Koyamaians (like me) can peacefully enjoy the sweet sakura at Rinshi no Mori park - as the place is still a bit confidential, it was not so not so crowded for a sunny Sunday. I tried Shinjuku Gyoen a bit later in the afternoon, and... I gave up before entering. Oh my.

And in addition : a delicious Japanese o-bento prepared by the talented Miss Y. - I modestly brought the strawberries and bread...

Happy o-hanami, and Happy Easter folks !

They say Japan is the country where short-lived, transient things are venerated : samurai (quickly killed), sushi (quickly eaten), and sakura (quickly blossomed and fallen). Things don't last in this country. Happiness and human relations are fleeting. This was the hard lesson I learnt this year. It is difficult to accept for a heiress of ancient Greek Cosmos and Christianism, that promoted eternal, indestructible things. Eternal sunshine of love. Indestructible power of individual will. These are sweet dreams in heart-breaking Japan.

Enjoy the sakura while you can. They won't fight to stay on the branch.

March 20th : Spring, Sprang, Sprung !

The sky is blue, the trees are blossoming, we are in holidays, life is beautiful.

Little walk to the park around the corner : surprise ! The earlier and pinkest sakura are already in flowers !

Just can't get enough, as they say... Sakura, sweet blossoming Tokyo, sun, spring... I'm addicted and I just can't get enough.

This is the same beauty every year, but I just can't get enough ! Tokyo at spring is totally pink, from the sakura to the sky. Have a walk under the cherry trees, by a sunny Sunday, and let's go back with blossoms in the hair and brand new hope in the heart !

So beautiful I could have cried... Flying blossoms above our heads, fresh ume-shu in our hands, barefoot on the vegetal carpet of Shinjuku-gyoen... 天国の感じでした。

昔から日本の有名な桜のことをよく考えました。本当に見たかったです。現在東京のどこでも桜が咲いていて、とうとう満足しています。私と一歩にお花見コレクションをエンジョイしましょう。
