Aoyama, the blue mountain in the heart of Tokyo. Shinjuku's skyscrappers shining on the horizon. A very high building with a balcony. And the first hanabi of the season for me.

Watching hanabi ("flowers of fire" in Japanese) is a major summer must-do in Japan, just as hanami in spring. Everybody wants to watch the same thing at the same time from the same places. Lucky me I have friends who have friends with amazing terrace apartments.

Astonishing colors. Fuji-san as the cherry on the cake. Happy clouds. A million photo shoots on the back. A smile on my right. That was a successfull Sunday.

Sometimes it's nice to bring my obento on the roof and eat lunch under the sun. My work place is situated in a very quiet area between Meguro and Gotanda ; it's green, peaceful, the perfect place to breathe and relax. Could stay there until the night...

Tokyo is the brightest place in the night worldmap. No surprise. Living in Japan allows you to have a daily shot of light. Just look at the dose of brightness you can get here in 24 hours of time.
